Slightly wild and untamed, Corsica's dramatic mountains, coves and forests are beautiful and unspoilt and many visitors return time and time again for the turquoise sea and white sandy beaches.

Corsica is a large and varied island, and although its maquis-covered hills and craggy peaks are part of it's charm, it does mean that it's not the easiest of islands to travel around.  This is a largely why Corsica is somewhere you can really switch off and enjoy being in such a beautiful place...a great opportunity to embrace life in the slow lane!  However, cosmopolitan Corsica also has its fair share of glamour, and towns such as Porto Veccio, Bastia and Calvi are bustling with shops, bars, restaurants and bursting with culture, beautiful architecture and historic citadels for when you can tear yourself away from your villa

Although French, Corsica's proximity to Italy has created a unique and fascinating place, with a character all of its own.  Local food is a tantalising mixture of both cuisines, and it would be a shame to visit and not find some straight-off-the-boat seafood or delicious Gelato.
