If you’re looking for somewhere totally secret and secluded with wonderful views; Villa Nido is perfect. Perched high in the foot hills on the Southern side of the Serrania de Ronda mountain range and set into the rock face like an eagle’s nest, this property is approached via a long, private drive weaving up the hill. There are no neighbours nearby, just acres of wooded landscape.
Despite this, civilisation is within easy reach – the mountain village of Benahavis is only a 4 minute drive away and you can enjoy all the life and vibrancy of the coastal resorts of Marbella and Puerto Banus within a half an hour journey.
Ideal for those who don’t like climbing stairs, the accommodation at Villa Nido is all on one level with warm terracotta stone floors throughout. It feels rustic yet contemporary with arched open doorways and wooden ceilings, typical of the traditional Spanish villa style. There are three lovely en suite bedrooms decorated with original art work and several seating areas both inside and out, with large cream sofas and wicker chairs.
You can choose to eat inside in the dining room or out on the terrace and can enjoy delicious meals cooked exactly to your taste.
We think the organically shaped outdoor pool looks particularly magical at night, with the turquoise water illuminated against the dark sky and the twinkling lights from the settlements on neighbouring hills adding to the atmosphere.
By day, the views down to the coast are spectacular and you can marvel at your surroundings whilst sitting in the bubbling Jacuzzi or enjoying a BBQ on the terrace with friends.
